Erik Huberman
Erik is a GP at Hawke Ventures and Co-founder + CEO of Hawke Media, the highly successful marketing agency known as Your Outsourced CMO. Hawke Media has helped grow over 4,000 brands worldwide, and is valued at more than $150 million. Erik is a well-known writer and thought leader in the marketing and e-commerce spaces. His work appears across top-tier publications like Rolling Stone, Forbes, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, Inc., and more. Erik is a lauded recipient of a number of honors and awards, including: Forbes 30 Under 30, CSQ’s 40 Under 40, Inc. Magazine’s Top 25 Marketing Influencers, The International Business Awards’ Entrepreneur of the Year, and a Telly Award for the Hawke Media commercial he co-wrote and starred in.
Mara Chaben
Mara is the Principal at Hawke Ventures. A University of Michigan alum, she began her career in community building at Summit. Mara then Co-founded and sold her first company, ZenStop, where she built a B2B employee wellbeing app used by Snapchat, YouTube, Disney, Universal Music Group, The Grammys, Rolling Stone Magazine, Drink Hint, GumGum, Warner Music Group, IMAX, Virgin Orbit, NBC and more. Finally and maybe most importantly, Mara is a cancer survivor and volunteers at Imerman Angels, a one-on-one cancer support network.
Avery Ersztein
Avery Ersztein is a partner and the head of Investor Relations at Hawke Ventures. His career spans the technology and financial services sectors where he has worked closely with dynamic startups, founders, and with a diverse set of significant investors overseeing and managing large pools of investment capital for the last 20 years. Avery joined Hawke Ventures from ff Venture Capital where he was the head of Investor Relations. Prior to ffVC, he held senior roles at Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan where he was responsible for the management of over $5.5 billion dollars in client capital combined, deployed across a diverse array of tailored investment strategies. Avery started his career as an engineer at Microsoft Corp. where he acted as a technology investment advisor to Microsoft’s largest F100 global clients. Avery holds an M.B.A. in management and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago.
